Look.. I know feminism is sweeping the nation at the moment, and I can't tell you to change your opinion. It's got some good characteristics but it's pretty destructive in the way it's being used. Feminism has divided friendships, siblings, and other relationships throughout the human race. Especially putting women in situations that aren't that great. So I'm just going to say it..

I AM NOT A FEMINIST...but here's why.

Number One: God did not create man and woman to be equal. If he did we wouldn't be having a problem with people wanting to switch genders (think about it). By a simple google search the definition that comes up refers feminism as "the advocacy of women's rights on the basis of the equality of the sexes." However, this sparks a problem.

Feminism is holding men as equal. HELLO?? THEY ARE DEFINETLY NOT!

In Genesis, God created Eve after Adam, because Adam needed Eve. He took a piece of Adam and created Eve to stand by his side, as partners, as two halves to a whole. Putting aside the inevitable eating of the fruit, Eve was Adams light in loneliness.

Number Two: Genesis 2: 24 "Therefore man shall leave his father and mother, and shall cleave unto his wife: and they shall be one flesh"(KJV). In the Bible, God tells us that it is man that leaves for his wife. Right from the beginning, women were unique. In Ephesians chapter 5, Paul talks to couples and how they should act towards one another (obviously all in love). In verse 22 Paul says that women are to submit unto their husbands BECAUSE he is to be the head of the wife JUST AS CHRIST IS IN THE CHURCH.

Now just wait don't get your frowns in a twist just keep reading...

In verse 25 it continues, Husbands are to love their wives as Christ loves the church (not that's a huge amount of love) and again in verse 31 "man leave his father and mother, and shall be joined unto his wife", again I don't see the woman having to chase the man (lol run boys). Men are to present themselves as a woman's protector and stabilizer. Yes we don't need a man when we are young and still growing in ourselves, but eventually to settle down it is the man that helps us do that. Trust me there is nothing hotter than a man who loves his Lord! Also, I know a lot of strong women in my life, but they also have a husband to help them grow in that strength.

Women are looked at as SO unique and precious to God because not only do we continue to see the way Jesus treats the women in His life, but women bring children into this world. Feminism is trying to conclude that men are equal. That men are the same. Honey.. no.

What about lesbians/gays? Now yes I am a Christian and don't support this kind of relationship, however that does not mean I hate them. As a Christian I still love them. As a Christian I still love every single one of them in my life; I even have family who are. That doesn't change my view on who they are as a person. Therefore if you have gotten this far in my post you shouldn't be surprised when I say I still don't see men and women as equals. If God views same sex relationships as a sin, then of course it's going to be harder for them, but all we can do about that is love them just as ourselves.

Women are a powerful force. Women are unique and beautiful and precious. We are strong and deserve all the love we can get. If you're going to say that you're just for certain aspects of feminism than you're cherry picking and we all know where that gets people :/

Women are stronger than Feminism.
