The Weekend Life of a Christian; relax with the Lord.

As a Christian, and only being 17, it's hard to know what you're doing right. How you should spend your time and money. What you should prioritize etc. How do you balance school, work, extra curricular activities, church, AND make sure your relationship with God is where it's supposed to be?
Matthew 6:6 - But thou, when thou prayest, enter into thy closet, and when thou hast shut thy door, pray to thy Father which is in secret; and thy Father which seeth in secret shall reward thee openly.
James 4:8 - Draw nigh to God, and he will draw nigh to you. Cleanse [your] hands, [ye] sinners; and purify [your] hearts, [ye] double minded.
Take a good look at these verses. Now there are many you can look at and read about, but I chose these two verses because they talk about things that I believe should be very important in a growing Christian.
Taking the Time to be in Prayer
A big important part of being a Christian is learning how to confess your sins. That is one of the many steps in Walking in the Light as we should be. I'm going to say that you should not be thinking that you can go to some pope and confess to him and think you are fine and dandy... no that's not how that works. When Jesus died on that cross He purposefully ripped that veil to show that anyone can come to the Father. Matthew 6:6 is a good verse to chew on. Have any of you watch the movie War Room? That movie SCREAMS Matthew 6:6! By far one of my favorite movies. Anyways, I'm not telling you clear out your closet and only have that space to go into deep prayer; find something that will help you strengthen that hotline to God.
The weekend is the perfect time to sit back and get into the Word. Trust me.. Netflix is great, but I prefer to take the time and talk to God.
Yes.. I know you have a lot to do. However, God is not going to give you so much that you can't take time to be in His Word and pray.
